Pyrogreen Energy has upgraded its BRKC(DH) biochar production machine, increasing feed capacity by 50% compared with the previous version. The upgrade also significantly improves thermal efficiency and offers more flexible equipment configurations for biomass processing and industrial heat utilization.
Designed for continuous processing of agricultural and forestry residues, the upgraded system supports higher biomass throughput and increased biochar output. Actual biochar production depends on feedstock characteristics, moisture content, and operating conditions.

The BRKC(DH) system combines direct heating with the use of internally generated pyrolysis gas to supply process heat. Once stable operation is established under suitable conditions, pyrolysis gas serves as the main heat source for carbonization, reducing the need for ongoing external fuel input.
Equipment configurations can be tailored to feedstock properties, biochar production targets, and on-site heat requirements. Depending on material size and moisture content, the system can be integrated with wood chippers, crushers, and dryers to prepare feedstocks such as logs, fruit pits, and coconut shells for carbonization.
Heat recovery arrangements can also be matched to each project. Recovered heat can first support feedstock drying. After this demand is met, any remaining recoverable heat can supply other on-site drying equipment. Waste heat boilers and other heat exchange systems can also be integrated where steam, hot water, or hot air is required, subject to the project’s available heat balance.
These configuration options help customers coordinate feedstock preparation, continuous biochar production, and thermal energy use within one integrated system.
